Between getting the call and getting on the plane, we only had a few days to prepare our performance and pack the bare essentials on to our adventure. After a 24 hour transit and 2 hours sleep, we were immediately up again to hit the studio to record not one, but two songs in Mandarin for the show – neither song had we rehearsed prior and neither of us spoke even a slither of Mandarin! Definitely a steep learning curve!
Combined with some welcome quick sightseeing to a few key hot spots, including the Great Wall, Leesh and I had the trip of a lifetime, only to be upstaged by the birth of our first daughter Savannah almost exactly 1 year later.
Would we do it again? Absolutely! Could we do it again with our 2 daughters in tow? Hmmm. Now that’s another question! 😉

Josh is so talented & sounds exactly like he does in all of his videos live, if not better!! From the start Josh was super easy to communicate with. I didn’t have much idea of what I wanted but Josh assured me from the start that he knew what he was doing (and he did not disappoint!) Josh gave our reception a cozy, warm feeling at our winter wedding, as he played a mix of beautiful songs. He then transformed into a great, energetic DJ – our dance floor was NEVER empty! When planning a wedding it’s easy to think “Do we really need a live singer/DJ or should we save the money?” The answer is you absolutely NEED to spend it & with Josh. The music at our ceremony and our reception went seamlessly. Nothing we asked was ever too much trouble. The music choices were done together and we were made to feel at ease at all times with everything that was being planned. Our guests had such an awesome night and we recieved so much great feedback from them about Josh and Leesh and how good the atmosphere was.
Our first dance song sung by Leesh was sung with so much emotion there was not a dry eye in the place.

From the first phone call, we knew that they were the duo we wanted who would be able to nail our song requests and really set the mood for the night. We received so many compliments after the night about how great the musicians were, and honestly we wish we could go back just to hear them play live again.
